Kenosha Company, Powerbrace Corporation, Acquires Dallas, Texas-based Manufacturer
Powerbrace Corporation of Kenosha, Wisconsin recently acquired DFW Grating of Dallas, Texas, a leading manufacturer of metal grating products. DFW Grating manufactures bar grating, diamond safety grating and round-hole safety grating, used in a wide range of applications, including commercial buildings, railcars, and manufacturing equipment.
DFW Grating has been renamed Miner Grating Systems, a Powerbrace Company, but will continue to operate from its 120,000 square-foot factory in Dallas. Powerbrace is a wholly owned subsidiary of Miner Enterprises, headquartered in Geneva, Illinois.
At its Kenosha facility, Powerbrace manufactures and markets trailer door securement products for the truck-trailer and specialty-trailer market segments under the Powerbrace brand name. It also manufacturers railcar equipment for its parent company, sold under the Miner brand—products that include outlet gates, discharge mechanisms, brake beams, and other railcar components. The Powerbrace Rail Products Division has a manufacturing facility in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

“I’ve been extremely impressed by DFW Grating’s technical capabilities and commitment to customer success,” said John Swezey, President and General Manager of Powerbrace Corporation. “As we integrate DFW’s operations with our own, I’m confident that we’ll be able to deliver even greater value to our new and existing customers.”
